Daisy has been an exciting project for our team to work on over the past 6 months.
The clients approached us with a vision to create a space that feels reminiscent of the Melbourne hospitality scene, whilst remaining welcoming and unpretentious.
The brief was to design an interior reflecting the quality of their cocktail oBering— understated yet refined.
We added warmth and texture through the materiality to contrast the industrial concrete shell, crafting a soft and inviting ambiance.
Our approach to the interior planning has created distinct areas that can be revealed as the number of patrons increases throughout the evening, creating the perfect atmosphere for casual catch ups or intimate date nights.

DESIGN APPROACH
Daisy Bar is an intimate hospitality experience that embodies Melbourne’s celebrated cocktail culture while remaining approachable and effortlessly inviting within the Geelong hospitality scene.
Set within an industrial concrete shell, the design brief called for an interior that mirrored the sophistication of the bar’s cocktail offering—understated yet refined. Our approach introduced a tactile warmth through a carefully curated material palette, balancing softness against the raw, industrial backdrop. Rich timbers, plush upholstery, and ambient lighting work in harmony to craft an atmosphere that transitions seamlessly from early evening aperitifs to late-night indulgence.
Spatial planning was central to the project’s success, allowing the venue to evolve dynamically as the night unfolds. Distinct zones are revealed as the space fills, creating intimate settings for date nights while maintaining the flexibility for a bustling crowd.
Colour was a key driver in shaping the experience, with an emphasis on depth and contrast to enhance mood and atmosphere. A warm, dusky palette grounds the space, layered with accents that interact with shifting light throughout the evening. The interplay of shadow and glow heightens the sensory appeal, encouraging patrons to linger and explore.
Daisy Bar is a testament to the power of considered design—where materiality, form, and colour converge to elevate the guest experience.
